Policies & Procedures

Here you will find a brief outline of some of our main Policies & Procedures which you may find useful.

A detailed copy of our Policies & Procedures are available from the office upon request.

Our setting has Safeguarding Lead Practitioners, Jo Lemon & Alice Peacock. They are fully trained and are responsible for the overall safety and welfare of the children.

If we are concerned about a child we have a duty of care under the Children Act 1989 to refer these concerns to the Local Safeguarding Childrens Board (LSCB).

The setting should be informed if your child is unwell.

In order to safeguard all children we ask that children remain at home for at least 48 hours following their last symptoms of sickness or diarrhoea. The exclusion period on some occasions where illness is at rife will increase to 72 hours. This is to prevent further spread of infection.

Should you have any complaints, please speak to the nursery manager.

You may make a complaint in writing or complaint forms are available from the setting.

If you are still unhappy then you can contact Ofsted directly at Picadilly Gate, Store Street, Manchester M1 2WD.

The setting may administer prescribed medication to children who have been on their medication and remained at home for at least 24 hours. We will only administer medication after written consent from the parent.

Medicine must be clearly labelled with the original prescription sticker and childs name.
